Initiative 1033

Here in the state of Washington we often have the opportunity to vote on tax limitation initiatives.  The latest one is 1033.  Critics of this proposal correctly assert that if it passes certain services will need to be cut.  "Services" is a euphemism for handouts.  Far from opposing this initiative, I think that it doesn't go far enough.  The problem is not in the initiative itself, but a structural one in our form of government.  It is far too easy for government officials to undo the effects of the initiative and raise taxes anyway.

Those wishing to support this great cause can find their website here.
