BBC News - Austrian driver allowed 'pastafarian' headgear photo

I thought that Pastafarians wanted us to dress up in pirate regalia in order to combat global warming. I hadn't heard anything about wearing a spaghetti strainer as religious headgear.

I notice that the BBC article refers to him as a "self-confessed atheist". I think this shows some bias. Suppose that he took some other stance on religion. We wouldn't see it as acceptable for a supposedly objective journalist to refer to someone as a self-confessed Christian or Muslim. This phrase implies that the author thinks that there is something wrong with taking that stance.
