Francis Collins' Views on Morality and Evolution

Francis Collins is ticked off at atheists
This blog post covers part of the dispute between new atheists and accommodationists. The basic dispute between the two sides is over what is the best way to promote science and critical thinking. The accomodationists hold that science and religion are compatible and that by denigrating religion on the basis that it is fundamentally opposed to religion we might turn large numbers of people away from science. The gnus hold that science and religion are fundamentally incompatible and that religion is destructive and needs to be denigrated. In any case Francis Collins' views on this seem to have changed. Michael Shermer has published an interview that he conducted with Francis Collins in his new book The Believing Brain on pages 33 and 34.
