Apply for Office

I believe that changes to our constitution should be brought about by a super-majority in an election rather than coming from the legislature itself. This is because constitutions deal with what powers should be delegated to which branches of government. There is a conflict of interest in delegating this power to those who hold elective office.

Once this change is implemented, one of the changes that I propose is that people who run for office should be required to fill out an application form. The public should determine the content of this form.

It should be considered scandalous for someone running for office to fail to answer how much of our money they would like to spend and what they would like to spend it on. If people are to be elected based on public approval of what they intend to do while in office, then the public needs to be given the information that they need in order to make informed voting decisions.
