Legislative Popularity

I was thinking about how legislative approval ratings for both the federal government and in the states are rather low.  This actually appears to be the case in other countries as well.  In Canada the House of Commons has a 27% approval rating and a 47% disapproval rating.  25% of Canadians approve of the performance of their provincial legislature.  This is similar to the way things are in the U.S.  The British parliament is also unpopular.
