While I am sympathetic to those who would argue that traditional religions are to be praised for acceptance of homosexuality, I think that the superstitious nonsense that is entailed in these beliefs is not something we can overlook. Gays and Lesbians are held to be gatekeepers to the spirit world. This is an assertion that they have no more evidence for than that God hates gays an lesbians.
Malidoma asserts that the suppression of gays and lesbians is likely to lead to earthquakes and natural disasters. Gays and Lesbians have a right to kill people who interfere with or even try to observe their rituals. His assertions about energy and astrology are baseless as well. I cannot see these as anything other than harmful and false opinions about the way that the world works.
